A YouTube button joins the top-right toolbar for quick access to the Kafka Streamyard channel, license sign-in now survives VPN toggles without re-prompting for an email code, and topic settings are clearer: every override dropdown shows the connection default it inherits, and a new AI action can write the topic description for you.

What changed

  • A YouTube button now sits in the top-right toolbar ahead of the AI assistant: click it to open the Kafka Streamyard YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@kafkastreamyard) in your browser.
  • The channel link opens through the same safe external-link handling used by the other website links in the app.
  • License sign-in no longer forces a fresh email code every time the work VPN connects or disconnects: the app now reuses the device hostname recorded at sign-in instead of re-reading it on each session refresh.
  • The license server likewise tolerates harmless hostname drift (letter case and DNS suffix changes) when refreshing a session, while the device ID, platform, and architecture still have to match exactly.
  • In Topic Settings, every "Use connection setting" dropdown now shows the actual connection default beside it, so you can see exactly what a topic inherits before overriding it.
  • A new AI button next to the topic description field generates a one-line description from the topic name and its latest messages: it samples up to 10 recent records, asks your configured AI provider, and fills the field in for you.
