Refund Policy
This policy explains when refunds are available for self-serve Kafka Streamyard purchases and how to request one.
1. Overview
Kafka Streamyard offers a 14-day free trial before purchase. This Refund Policy explains our standard self-serve refund practice and how statutory consumer withdrawal rights interact with digital software access.
2. Who this applies to
This Refund Policy applies to standard self-serve purchases of Kafka Streamyard desktop licenses made through Paddle from the public pricing page.
Custom enterprise, team, consulting, or separately negotiated agreements are governed by their own written terms and are not automatically covered by this self-serve refund policy.
3. Statutory withdrawal rights
If you are a consumer, mandatory withdrawal rights may apply under the law of your country. For consumers in the EU or EEA, this usually means a 14-day withdrawal period for distance contracts unless a statutory exception applies.
If no valid exception applies, you may withdraw by sending us a clear statement before the withdrawal deadline. You can do this by email to support@kafkastreamyard.com or by using the contact form on our website.
4. Digital software access and early supply
Kafka Streamyard is digital software. Access to paid digital content or services may begin soon after purchase or activation. If we wish to rely on a statutory exception that can apply when digital supply begins before the withdrawal period ends, we will request any express consent and acknowledgement required by applicable law before that exception applies.
If we have not validly obtained any consent or acknowledgement required for a statutory exception, your mandatory withdrawal rights are not affected.
5. Our standard self-serve refund window
Without limiting any mandatory statutory rights, we offer a 14-day refund window from the date of purchase for standard self-serve orders, subject to this policy.
- the purchase must have been made through our standard Paddle checkout;
- you should contact us from the purchase email address or provide enough information to identify the order; and
- the order must not be fraudulent, abusive, or in breach of our Terms of Service.
6. How to withdraw or request a refund
Contact support@kafkastreamyard.com or use the website contact form with:
- the email address used for the purchase;
- the Paddle order or transaction reference if you have it; and
- a clear statement that you want to withdraw from the purchase or request a refund.
We may ask for additional information needed to identify the order and process the request.
7. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are processed through Paddle, the payment provider used for checkout. The time it takes for funds to appear in your account depends on Paddle, your payment method, and your bank or card issuer.
If a refund is issued, the related paid license or entitlement may be downgraded, revoked, or closed.
8. Limits and exceptions
We may refuse or limit a refund request only where permitted by law, including where:
- the request is made after the applicable refund or withdrawal period;
- we cannot identify the purchase or verify ownership of the order;
- the order is associated with chargeback abuse, fraud, or policy evasion; or
- the purchase was made under a custom commercial agreement with separate refund terms.
9. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law, including statutory rights relating to digital content, digital services, conformity, updates, withdrawal, reimbursement, or other remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
