Linux installer helper

The optional install-linux.sh helper has currently only been tested on Ubuntu 26.04 LTS. Download the AppImage to your default ~/Downloads folder first if you want to run the helper with no argument.

  • Grant execute permission before running it.
  • Run ./install-linux.sh with no argument to use the newest kafka-streamyard*.AppImage found in your default ~/Downloads folder.
  • Or pass a direct download URL or local AppImage path as the first argument

How trial access works

The first time you open the desktop app, enter your email address in the app and confirm it with a one-time passcode.

  • No card required to start the trial

Use the same email later

To keep trial and paid access on one account, use the same email in the app that you plan to use at checkout.

  • Trial status is linked to your email
  • Paddle checkout should use the same email
  • After trial end, you’ll be directed to the pricing page
