Kafka Streamyard 0.5.1 — Improved Live Views, Topic Flow & Topic Copying

A workflow-focused release with richer Live Views and Topic Flow modeling, persistent topic-list preferences, guided topic creation and copying, reliable server-side filters, and clearer task reporting.

• Redesigned the Topic Flow sidebar with contained one-third/two-thirds topic and process lists, standard scrolling, a resizable vertical chart divider, and full topic-name hover previews
• Added a two-step Create & paste topic flow that captures source-based partition and replication settings up front, validates replication against destination brokers, shows creation progress, creates the topic with source configs, and then opens copy options with the destination partition count
• Made filtered topic copies reliable by listing only presets tagged with both the source connection and topic, resolving preset filters server-side, and correctly evaluating decoded JSON records whose connection format is Auto or Text
• Refined copy dialogs and task reporting with clearer neutral source and destination details, preserve-partitioning only for matching counts, destination clearing hidden for freshly created topics, readable option summaries, per-partition progress, and a total copied-message count
• Added a persisted horizontal or vertical Topic Flow orientation toggle that switches arrow joins between left-to-right and top-to-bottom layouts and supports undo and redo
• Expanded Live Views help with Topic Flow editing, Shift-drag multi-selection and grouped movement, diagram controls, undo and redo, overview-map navigation, 4K and Ultra Wide layouts, and why horizontal React Flow orientation suits sequential or ultrawide chains while vertical orientation suits narrower or branching flows
• Added Task System settings for displayed task history (100 tasks by default, configurable up to 1,000) and optional in-app completion or failure notifications
• Preserved each connection's topic-list sort, metric-column width and visibility, and scroll position across UI reloads and connection switches, with cached metric ordering and a smooth fade-in to prevent visual jumps
