Version 0.6.1
stable
Improved message imports, background task execution, topic metadata refresh, startup reliability, favorite layouts, and message previews.
What changed
- Favorite samples now remain aligned to the top-left and resize automatically when favorites are removed or the message pane, window, resolution, or orientation changes.
- Test Message Preview now opens centered in the application window with 50% more maximum width for easier message inspection.
- Renaming Data Samples to Test Data Samples to make it more explicit.
- Development startup now waits for the IDE API server to become fully ready, reducing intermittent server startup failures when launching the Electron app.
- Playbook import-data commands can now select a supported partitioner to recalculate record placement for the destination topic instead of preserving exported partition numbers.
- The Import Messages dialog can now override compatible partitions stored in Streamyard JSON and redistribute records using a selected partitioner.
- Large message imports now reuse one Kafka producer per batch, preventing producer-connection exhaustion and backend timeouts.
- Message imports can now be submitted as background Streamyard tasks while the main UI remains available; the Tasks window shows total progress and a per-partition breakdown of imported records.
- Newly created topics now refresh automatically until partition metadata is available, including from the Partition Info refresh action.
- Topic context-menu Import and Export actions now switch to Messages before opening their dialogs, so they work from every topic tab.
- Application panels, labels, and icons no longer allow accidental text selection; selection remains enabled in text inputs and editable areas.
- Files can now be dropped into the playbook editor or its AI assistant box to insert their native file paths at the current cursor position.
